Point Hydrocarbons – IR

Point Infrared Gas Detector for Hydrocarbon Gas Detection

Product Description

The Point Hydrocarbon NDIR LEL detector is designed for performance in harsh and hazardous environments. Utilizing solid-state infrared technology, this detector delivers dependable hydrocarbon gas detection with minimal maintenance requirements.

Key Features:

  • High Reliability and Durability: Built with a rugged 316 stainless steel construction and a straightforward design, the Point Hydrocarbon IR is built to endure the most challenging industrial applications.
  • Dual Wavelength NDIR Technology: This innovative technology utilizes self-compensating sensing and reference elements, ensuring optical integrity and minimizing the impact of potential signal inhibitors.
  • Operates in Anaerobic Atmospheres and Constant Hydrocarbon Background: The self-contained optics function flawlessly in environments with no oxygen or consistent hydrocarbon presence. Additionally, the detector is resistant to poisoning and etching from common contaminants.
  • No Routine Calibration and Virtually Maintenance Free: Eliminate the need for scheduled calibrations. The Point Hydrocarbon IR only requires annual zeroing, significantly reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
  • 3-Wire 4-20 mA Linear Output: Seamless integration into new or existing control systems is facilitated by the 3-wire 4-20 mA linear output. The detector transmits fault and special function signals below 4 mA for clear communication.

Benefits:

  • Reduced Downtime: Minimal maintenance requirements ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime for calibration.
  • Enhanced Safety: Reliable detection of combustible hydrocarbons safeguards personnel and assets in hazardous environments.
  • Cost-Effective Operation: The extended lifespan and reduced maintenance needs contribute to a lower total cost of ownership.
  • Versatility: The Point Hydrocarbon IR detector is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
