Sensidyne

Improved Detector Tube System

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Introducing an Improved Detector Tube System

Sensidyne's popular Model AP-20S detector tube pump is now molded in Sensidyne's familiar Gilian Blue color. This aesthetically pleasing change marks some other improvements as well. The new blue rubber grip features a material that is treated to be antibacterial. Now clean settings like hospitals and clean rooms can choose a pump that resists bacterial transfer.

A new safety feature has also been added to the detector tubes themselves.  The printed scales on the tubes that make them direct reading and easy to use have traditionally been printed directly onto the glass via silk screen printing. Our improved system now uses a plastic sheath that wraps around the entire circumference of the tube and contains the printing. This system makes the tube much safer to use. If a tube happens to break in the middle, or even become shattered, the pieces are held together and the sharp edges contained by the plastic wrap.

The system is cost effective, easy to use, rugged and reliable. Direct reading color indicating detector tubes are available for about 300 airborne substances.
